Vbulletin database hacker active!

Hello,

i have see a vbulletin database hacker. he search forums they use 3.6.x or lower!

please. delete your installation folder from the webserver. or rename it!
It's serious. he have try today selling a 87.000 + database for 10 dollar!
His name is Luke. and his forum is Security Exposed ▫ - Powered by vBulletin

Please. delete you install folder. For 3.7 and higher no problem!

It anyone hasn't deleted it ONCE they've finished installing then they have to be stupid. Installation folders should ALWAYS be deleted after you're done.
 
Hmm, hacker or not, ripping someone's database off is pretty serious to me in any event!

If I remember correctly, the "Delete" message at the end of the install refers to install.php and not the folder. I am always astounded to find that the install folder with all the upgrades exists on many of the sites that I have been asked to do some work. Amazing!

I am luke from security exposed, what you need to understand is with 3.6.x it only tells you to delete install.php and with cracked versions it doesn't ask you for a license key to edit the update files like it does with licensed versions,, Here is my official thread on the subject.
