If, hypothetically, I was running a nulled script of say the project tools or the blog products from vBulletin, is there anyway that Jelsoft can detect whether or not I've paid for the product? Can they also detect abnormalities when I install the products, like when you install it, does it send information to Jelsoft that you've installed it?

Basically, how can I be caught?
 
They can see your site is running project tools by going into the project tools on your server, see your site does have a licensee for project tools and ask you/shut you down.
