vbseo problems

ok i have mysite.com and all the files for that site is in root/a-folder. and it runs on vbb and vbseo 3.1 is installed. but the links in mysite.com come up as mysite.com/a-folder/35-test.html. so what should i do or put in .htaccess to stop this from happening? i don't want it to show /a-folder in the url.

please help me out here. thanks.

for vbseo it has to be in html for the spiderlinks to look for the posts in html

i think you didn't understand what i was trying to say. lol. i don't care whether the pages end with .php or .html. i was wondering what i should put in my .htaccess to stop the url from showing http://mysite.com/a-folder/ instead of http://mysite.com
