vBCMPS and Forums

Hello, I have vBCMPS and I would like to put it in my home dictionary but my forums are in another folder. How can I put my vBCMPS file in my public_html folder and have my forums in another folder and have everything work fine?
 
THAT is USUALLY how cmps works. You just need to edit the cmps_index.php file and tell it where the forum is located via changing the path in it to point to your /forum(s) installation. Then you need to edit the cmps settings in admincp to the correct path.
 
Okay yeah, done that. But the problem with that is, when you try to login on the home, it won't login correctly. It will act just as if you never logged in.
 
This is what I'm trying to do, make my homepage a portal, and have my forums in a different folder. But when you try to login on the main site (Portal page) it acts as if you never logged in. Does anyone know how to fix that problem?
