using xpointer to extract specific part of a xml file

I have to use xpointer to get specific part of a xml file. I searched for the api. I found xpointer api from "xbrl", "apache lenya", "xpointer+DOM4J".Which is best among these and it will be helpful if I can get any example java code to see how I can use it.Can anyone suggest me in this regard.Thank you
