The \[code\]ASP.NET 4.0\[/code\] project uses \[code\]Oracle\[/code\] DB. For this Oracle ships two versions of data provider:
- Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) (unmanaged ODP.NET). Shipped for 32bit and 64bit separately, no platform in-depended (AnyCPU) version. Using it directly causes tons of problems because project is developed/shipped for AnyCPU.
- Managed ODP.NET Oracle driver. It's under beta now, has some limitation if comparing with unmanaged ODP.NET (load balancing options are not fully available, etc.)
