I've been tirelessly searching for how to actually view the text of a Microsoft Word document in an asp.net app using vb.net. Not C#.
for a couple weeks now.
specifically.....
into one label, I'd like the first 100 or so characters.
And then into another label, I'd like to take all of the contents of the word document (formatted like the word document).
what I have found is that perhaps the com object could be useful.
but other than that I haven't found squat for information.
so I've added the Word com object, but have no clue how to use it.
anyone know?
