Then the Forum says:

Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.

What does this mean?

It means your host is probably using safe mode. AdmnCP -> vBulletin Options -> Server Settings & Optimization Options -> Safe Mode Upload Enabled -> set to Yes and Save. See if that helps.
