Oh ye php phanatic!
I have some web apps and an entire site that were writen and hosted on php 4.2.2 (linux) previously.. now the server has been changed and i have been considering upgrading to php5.
The only thing that is holding me back is whether i may have to re-write the scripts if php 5 has any problems understanding some of the php4 constructs and commands.. is this really a possible scenario? -> are there any features in php4 (4.2.2) that may not be supported in php5? i know the opposite is usually the case but this is a backward incompatibily issue innit?..
thanx,
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="fazbobhttp://www.php.net/manual/en/migration5.phpWhy">fazbobhttp://www.php.net/manual/en/migration5.phpWhy</a><!-- m --> not install php5 on a test box and find out?
