Updating to vb 3.6.8

Hello, well I want to update my vb 3.6.7 to the current 3.6.8 version. but its no picnic for me. I also have read the documentation on the official website. but that was no help to me. the only option I see for me is a fresh install. but I fear I might erase my users and content.

Will it work if I uninstall my current 3.6.7 then install the 3.6.8 version? and upload my data base plus my home directory to the 3.6.8 version?

any other alternatives? maybe I just have to upload individual files? I really don't know. >.<'

can someone help me out please.
 
thank you speed freak. they should have just said that in the documentation.

so I take it I will have to reinstall my template? after the upgrade? or does the upgrade script do that for me?

I'm just being very very care full.... -_-'

No, you don't have to reinstall your template.
