Hello Friends,

I want to know that after how many days we should update our website index page content. You can update it daily. It depends on what is the type of your website.. For Blogs, Daily and for static sites no need I think.. Work on ON & Off page optimization. Quote: Originally Posted by aatamaker Hello Friends,

It all depends on the back linking strategies and PR of your sites and PR. Generally speaking, having back links from high PR sources and having a nice PR of site would be helpful for prompt indexing purpose. Thus, you would see more prompt content changes of already indexed pages on search engines.

The main idea about updated content is to let Google know that your site is alive.
The frequency of updation of content can be considered to be a factor in your site's ranking in the SERPs.
If you're using wordpress, the best way to do some real hardwork once and schedule posts days/weeks in advance. There's really no "magic" answer. Google likes fresh content, but that doesn't mean that you have to kill yourself trying to update it every day.

Your best bet is to come up with a schedule that works for you. That way, you'll publish new content consistently, and at your own pace (however, it needs to be pretty frequent; you can't go months on end with no updates). It also gives you time to publish QUALITY content. If you feel rushed to add something new every day, you may end up with alot of junk on there (or at least stuff that could have really benefited from some tweaking or additional research). you can every day I agree with nicolebeckett.. and there's a disadvantages if you do it in a regular basis.. what if you are targeting a particular kw on your home page? if you change or delete the content its not going to rank..

but then just like what they said, it depends on what kind of website you have.. I looked at your sig links, you should focus on links and not worry so much about content, although I might say make sure your content is keyword optimized. Check with webmaster tools and make sure it ranks high for the keywords you want to come in for. Other than that just build links. For a website which doesn't introduce any new products/services/news, content can be updated after every 3-4 months. I think if you add a blog within your website, that would be more beneficial. you can daily update to blog with the information of your industry. This will help in attracting more visitors to your website and also helpful in fast crawling and indexing the pages. WOW! That's not something I would usually agree with but in this case I have to say that's probably true.

The smart play here would probably be to add a blog and with the type of site you have it's not something you need to constantly update.. a blog would be better for that. It would not only entice search engines to visit often, but it's easy to plug your blogs feed into social media profiles and integrate social media profiles into your blog!

Nice site by the way. Too bad you don't have the trust-building icons above the fold though. Tim Ash is a very big advocate of said icons and has been very vocal about how they impact conversions.
