Hi Guys,

I'm targeting some keywords for my site as we all do. But, lately, I'm starting to show up on Google for other keywords that I'm not optimizing. I've seen this before. Does this mean that SEO for certain keywords will help with similar keywords? Is the content you have on your site optimized for your keywords or for the keywords that are starting to rank better. The best way to rank is to have Quality content optimized for the Keywords you want. You want to add this content to your site on a regular basis as the google spiders love fresh new quality content. Try a few other ways to SEO as well. Article marketing, forum linking, social media, press releases the list goes on. main keywords have to incording to main content.
As Bizzoyce's post, Article marketing very important. In social bookmarking pages, u can add ur article's link with keywords for other user can find them.
When traffic of article is high, u'll get expected keywords on google search Such phenomenon would just mean that for such keyword you have optimized it better than your competitors or you have a lesser number of competitors for that keyword thus the easy ranking. Yes, your site can be found using other keywords/key phrases. The reason we are targeting specific keywords (the ones we want to rank high in search engines) is because they have more traffic and more relevant to our site's niche/content/products/services.

I believe, as long as your site's content has these 'similar keywords' your talking about, yes it can. Thanks everyone. Your feedback makes sense to me. I'm seeing almost daily changes for my keywords. So, I'm assuming there is high competition for relevancy. There are few steps you can follow if you want to do manually
Step 1: Start with a Good List of Seed Keywords.
Step 2: Find Related Keywords,
Step 3: Map Out Your Web Content Structure
Step 4: Find Long Tail Keywords
Step 5: Create Your Detailed Content Plan
Finally I would say , Hot issue + Popular keyword = Content Title

If not building back link strongly to your domain, ranking keywords goes down... You've discovered semantics! This is actually the ultimate aim of every major Search Engine: To be able to provide Search results that exactly mirror human speech, verbal comprehension and cognition. So yes, semantically related terms will trigger search results for your more optimized keywords and keyword phrases, so long as other algorithmic factors are in agreement with the semantics. Which it looks like - for you - they are.

As algorithmic semantics continue to evolve, the less and less Webmasters will have to worry about writing their content with machines in mind to any degree.

~AJ over time your site will get traffic for a variety of keyword variations. It is impossible to guess all the variations people will type. Google has reported half the searches are done only one time ever.

I have one niche blog that shows in analytics getting traffic in the past 30 days for over 1300 different keywords. The more content and links you have the more this will happen. This is one of the great things about blogs.

I also have gotten ranked and a lot of traffic sometimes for keywords I never intended to use. Sometimes I can find an affiliate program to monetize them too. Oops...I should also note that Google Search is constantly running semantic (amongst other) experiments, which it is particularly prone to do in the instances that Warner444 mentions in which it is a first (or very limited time) query.

In these experiments, the more a user's actions indicate that the user has found what they wanted, the algorithm's defined parameters of 'relevance' are tweaked, and the more your site will be triggered over time by that, and further semantically related, keywords and keyword phrases.
