Dear Friends, I am new to web development and have a two month old site.
a) The site is a forum+blog. It is all about tutorials on various technologies, web development, student projects, presentations etc.
b) I have got backlinks from various authority sites for my Niche. Agreed the niche is not a very high traffic or high paying, but still competitive.
c) I have worked on On-Page SEO, set the meta tag right, optimized site loading, fonts, layouts etc.
d) I use Google Insight + Google AdWords keyword Tool + Google Analytic to find the keywords on which posting can be done and write more on queries which shows positive trends in analytic query result.
e) I have worked onto bounce rate and all the pages with high bounce rate are worked onto to minimize it.
f) Have more than 3000 pages indexed in google due to frequent updation that I do in my site. Someday I post from 10-15 threads ( Articles). Because I have worked in this area offline for about 8 years, many materials are also ready with me.

My Problem:
1) Initially it was tough to get even a single search engine visitor. But slowly we crossed 25, then 50 and then 100 UV a day. Finally we reached 150 UV and about 300 registrations ( all human) in one month.
2) Even though I have doubled my effort to increase traffic since then, by more blog commenting, guest posting, more activity in twitter account, facebook fan page and regular update, participation in top forums, more articles in the site ( And mind it, not garbage articles) since last one month it does not seem to break that 150 UV level.
3) Average time spent in our site by visitor is about 25minute. Average bounce rate 38%, AdSense average income about 5$/day. Average daily page view: about 1500 daily ( 9.2 page view par UV is the average over last 1 month). Alexa has improved from 3million to .6 million in 18 days. In india it is ranking about 30k.
BTW, I have also used adwords to increase the traffic. with adwords it increases by another 10-20.
Does that mean that by trying self SEO, we can reach only upto certain level? Do I need to use professional SEO services? It is showing my Moz rank about 3.74. PR is not updated since site was launched.

Please suggest me, what I am missing? Am I not able to tap onto certain issues? Do I need to outsource SEO? or does it take time to break that barrier. I am struck at 150 for about 20 days and getting pretty frustrated.
