Hey guys. I just came across the editor TSW WebCoder (http://Download .com.com/3000-2048-10218587.html?tag=lst-0-1) while browsing Download .com. What caught my eye is that Download .com reviewed it and gave it 5 stars (they only gave html-kit (http://Download .com.com/3000-2048-4687625.html?tag=lst-0-1) 4 stars) and 97% of TSW's ratings are positive, while htmlkit has 95%. positive. It's obviously pretty close. Anyways, i just thought i'd let you know. I'm going to try it out later and see if it lives up to the hype. :)This app is nice! I just ran through it and as far as I could tell, it does NOT use M$ proprietary elements. The syntax highlighting looks like that of Visual Studio, and it appears to have support for ASP/X. This app is definately worth a try. Nice find, Cheat :Di was beginning to wonder if anyone besides myself would be interested :D
Well i have it installed but i havent really tried it yet. It has a nice looking interface though :)So far the only complaint I have is in the WYSIWYG editor (not that I use it, just speaking from a critical standpoint). The WYSIWYG was written using ACTIVEX controls (same as FP) but I did find that redeemed when the author coded a warning "...can produce ugly code..." and asks if you wish to continue; that and the fact that the WYSIWYG was not coded to be the primary editor (excellent!). I will be giving this extensive field test over the next few days & I will post my results with yours. :)sweet:)It's nice and I may recommend it as a simplified HTML-kit but it's missing some critical info (like the Javascript DOM bindings) for help in serious work. So I guess my review is, it's ok but I'll stick with HTML-kit for now.
