True or false: every website should have a number one keyword to target

I just hit a really big snag with my blog today: I don't know what my main keyword is going to be.

Why? Well that's simple; I don't plan on covering a single topic with my first blog. I plan on making it a sort of "archive" where I can store all of my knowledge that I've been learning lately. Because of this, I can't figure out what my main keyword would be.

Most of my blog is going to be made up things like SEO, social media, marketing, writing, blogging, my own personal opinions on subjects I find interest in, and much more. How am I supposed to sum all of that up in one keyword / phrase?

So in retrospect, is it absolutely imperative that I have a "main keyword"? Could I just branch out and target a few high level keywords (search engine optimization, social media, internet marketing, etc.) with multiple categories, posts and pages?

This is the toughest obstacle I've hit yet >.<

EDIT: I thought of stuff like "web tutorials" and "online tutorials", since most of my posts are going to be telling people how to do things I've learned about (i.e. "How To Get Your WordPress Post ID"). But "web tutorials" puts me in competition with W3, and "online tutorials" puts me head-to-head with Lynda. I could never compete with those companies... could I? Actually I have the same trouble. It is simple. Target your internal pages with specific keywords instead of your homepage. Your homepage can be named whatever you want. What you do, is write a post about specific keyword that you want to target and build links to it. Then you are going to get ranked for that page.

Hope that helps.
