My site is well ranked in Google. All keywords in top 10 but traffic decreases. I don't understand why this will happen. Please any one help me. I'm not a SEO expert but have came across some very good advices from expert elsewhere. The simple advice I learnt is "build your website with the visitors in mind not search engines. The informations in our website must be relevant to the users as they are the ones buying from you not the SE." sometimes, even though your keywords are ranking, yet these keywords have low number of searches, it will just give you low to moderate traffic. I agree with Jimisan, however its hard to get organic traffic with a 'visitors sight' but bad seo.
For instance, till a few years ago i had a few dozen adult tgp sites. Thing was, and still is in fact, that the ugliest sites had absolutely the most visitors. Uniques AND recurring.
Accept from a <alt> tag there is more or less nothing to see for uncle G regarding graphics.
I said it before and ill repeat it till i fly, content is king. make sure to have, a keyword target has a lost of number searcher. Even you have lots of keywords in the first page without searches expect you will have no traffic. maybe your targeted kws are not the one that your visitors using when finding your site.. have your change or update anything on your site.? target the right keywords check your keyword density then promote useful keywords Thanks to all of you for giving advice. But My sites's all keywords are having search volume. For ex. life insurance policies Use your keyword as a hyper text links and you can even add your url in the end part of your advertisement or even can put it in your resource box or as a signature in a forum. Sometimes when everything looks great and your rankings are stabilized, due to the market changes, such as people shifting to other keyterms not already targeted by the site you are managing, some quick ranking drops could be expected. Of course if the secondary terms are very much related to the main ones chosen, by shifting the link building tactics and gaining some quality one way backlinks with some new anchors, the traffic volumes would get enhanced again and you can find out more by researching. Most likely you see a drop in ctr due to a problem with your description. Try to develop more to the point descriptions for the targeted keywords. I think your keyword seasonable so that your traffic will be down or your keyword search volume is not high so this type problem arising. check your keyword with is top ten its good keyword check on adwords if your keywords are on the top searches. even if you rank no. 1 on a keyword, if the monthly search volume of that keyword is relatively low, you will get less traffic on your site. Maybe this keyword is not popular at the present. Keyword problem, Maybe you need to update keywords of your site..
Search over the net what is the most competitive keywords that visitors are using, and then try to use that within the site.. For traffic i generally rely only on SEO and Social networking sites.
both on and off page SEO are very good for traffic and even social netwroking sites like facebook and twitter are very effective for trraffic. just make sure you regularly updating your site and continue building links. Use more search volume keywords as a keyword target.

2) target long tail but more search volume keywords.
3) site redesign according to user

Me too agree with this..If we choose to optimize low competition keyword that has low search volume, we will not be able to drive more traffic...thats why we all are struggling with high competition keywords and bring our ranking as well as the traffic high...
