Let us present a scenario:
I have a website that focuses on home improvement. Within this website, I have your basic layout: About, Contact Us, Services, so on and so forth.
Now, let us assume that I create a /blog extension for a new blog I would like to attach to this site.
Next, let's pretend I offer three main services: bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, and basement remodeling.
Okay, so, I got a blog, and three main service pages that explain what I do and how I do it, prices, callouts and all of this other stuff.
Now, let's say I get the bright idea of writing out thirty 30 over the course a month. The idea is that I would write out 30 articles that talk about different topics having to do with each service, and each service page would be linked to by 10 of the 30 articles, by a one or two internal links within each article. The 10 articles per service page would be relevant to whatever service page they link to, so it's not misleading, of course.
I remember reading once that creating a butt load of pages or blog posts that link back to the home page could be a bad thing, as Google would consider it internal link spam (I don't even know if THAT is true). But would the scenario I provided above be considered a foul move? As if I'm purposely trying to leech the SEO value of my articles into the service pages so they rank higher, or whatever?
Hope I explained that right. Google’s content guidelines is having a 100 link suggestion. The strategy is to minimize the relevance of links coming from link-farms. Google’s sitemap guidelines refers thus question by suggesting to keep an sitemap limited to 100 links or breaking the map into smaller pages. which means internal links should be kept to below 100 as well.
else it will hurt your ranking. Surely you need to change the anchor text for each link. you can try additional words/variation, such as 'best bedroom', 'amazing bedroom' in order to optimize for 'bedroom' I don't think you read the question correctly, CAPTAMERICA.
I'm not asking about how many internal links can be ON a page, I'm asking how many internal links can I have point to a single page. Does it look spammy? Or is it okay? HI
I misunderstood your query. Apologies

Cheers If you're going to post, please provide something that will further the topic. Saying you misunderstood me doesn't actually do anything for me. Every article have 30 external links?no problem.
Good article can easily reproduced, just pay attention to the diversity of anchor text. Hi,
As my own experience on my websites, the internal link is always good. It seems that the internal link is considered as external link from other sites. You don't need to worry about that I have got your question you mean you want to create a blog by creating a folder in a website and want to point link from those article to different related pages of website. It seems a good idea, but there looks no any restriction for generating internal link. You can very well generate as many links as possible but make sure those articles are relevant to the topic of page and further you use variation of those keywords instead of sticking to only one particular keyword. Hope I explained that right. Dear Raoucus,
If I understand right, you have a website on which you offer three main services, and each of the services has got an individual page. You want to set up a blog to promote each of the services with relevant articles. Over the period of one month you want to write in total 30 articles, 10 for each of the services. Finally each of the articles on your blog will provide two links to your website (one pointing at particular service page and the other pointing at your main domain), right?
What you are trying to do here is perfectly fine, and actually it is a way it should be done. With the increase of rank of individual articles you will see increase of rank of your website (and therefore increase in amount of visitors).
Couple of suggestions worth mentioning however:
- Consider creating a sub domain for your blog rather than using a folder on your existing website. If your website is example.com, it is a good practice to put your blog in blog.example.com
- Which blogging platform do you intend to use? Make sure you have your blog hosted on your server rather than an external one. WordPress is probably the best option and it works great in promoting your company sites.
- Make sure that each individual article is interlinked with other relevant articles. If you write 10 articles related to 'kitchen remodelling', ensure that on each of the articles there are links to the remaining 9 articles. By interlinking articles you can increase the rank of each one of them. With WordPress you can do it automatically.
- Use keywords in your link anchors related to the service you provide. For instance, links from articles about 'kitchen remodelling' should ideally contain both of the keywords.
Hope it helps For Me Internal Link Always Good. But if Your Got Incoming link from any Comment form, no good more than 50 / day . I agree with CAPTAMERICA. but try to interlink with relevant page across relevant theme so try to make your website in silo structure. As long as the internal link is relevant, I don't see any problem on it.
