Last week or so, I've had someone build social bookmarking/networking accounts on various sites (no pligg). Then I had her submit each of my pages for one of my sites to each site, I limited her to 10 pages per account.
Do you think Google will flag this for manual review? I told her to hold on making any more accounts for now for this site. You mean, you bookmarked a single site with a different user accounts from different social bookmarking sites?
Sounds spammy for me. Quote: Originally Posted by pood Last week or so, I've had someone build social bookmarking/networking accounts on various sites (no pligg). Create accounts on a social book marking site.
Then I submit each of my landing pages, but I limit to only 10 landing pages per account.
Now that i think about it, it was kind of a stupid strategy, luckily I didn't spend 20 hours of my own time doing this.
Hopefully I won't get my **** penalized. I think I'll just stick to 1 link per social bookmarking site unless I have a worthwhile article to submit Quote: Originally Posted by pood well, what I did was.

Yep! That was not a good strategy after all... Just a friendly reminder, in social bookmarking... you need to have excellent/useful/interesting contents otherwise, it will not be voted/recognized by other members. You also need to put attractive titles so that more users will clicked on your bookmark(s). Bookmarking of your webpages may help you in your link building campaign but it will be better if they have something to offer to the visitors/users of social bookmarkings sites.
By the way, I think it will better if you're going to submit one bookmark per day per social bookmarking site. (too many "per" hehehe )

Maybe you're talking about the administrators of the social bookmarking sites where you created different accounts... Maybe not, maybe yes... if they found out that there are usernames using the same IP address... the worst case scenario would be... you're banned. :crossfingers: Quote: Originally Posted by micoblanco Yep! The topic is so boring so there aren't many link baits I could do.
Penalized by google when they see these spammy links when they do a manual link analysis. Before thinking about the risk of getting flagged, I would think of the time wasted doing this.
SB sites will bury your site faster than you can say "spam"
SB site can work wonderfully if you have something genuine you want to share like a tool, a story. It can bring traffic this way but there a millions of people submitting their sites everyday and, with all due respect, I don't think your case is different from the others.
From my experience, I don't use SB anymore. I wasted to much time on it at my beginning of SEO.
Good luck though! Quote: Originally Posted by juliensimon Before thinking about the risk of getting flagged, I would think of the time wasted doing this.

Good luck though! yah, I think I'm going to stick with submitting my site 1 time per SB, I've already told my worker to stop. Going to spend more money towards articles. Making new sites and submitting articles. Quote: Originally Posted by pood yah, I think I'm going to stick with submitting my site 1 time per SB, I've already told my worker to stop. Going to spend more money towards articles. Making new sites and submitting articles. I suggest you build relationship with other bloggers in different social bookmarking sites. SB is not only about submittin, make friends and learn how to follow them. With this method, you can earn more vote for every topic you submit, more vote means more visit to your main site. I'm always getting the same link with different titles with different user names on my social bookmarking site and they always get deleted. If people would just submit different pages with just one user name then their content would get published - this goes for most social bookmarking sites. yes it could be a problem and sound spammy
