To redirect results of query to a file

Hi,
When i execute a query in POSTGRESQL database, if the result set of the query covers more than a screen i am not able to view the entire data.
I am looking for a way redirect the result of the query to a file so that i can view the entire data.
I need the details of the command to redirect the result of a query to the file & the location of the file.
Please let me know this information.
