Threads dissappeared from topic list

I went to check up on my site, and 99% of the threads in one of my categories were gone. I can still view them if I type the forum number in the address bar, although they dont appear on the topic list. I only see 2 threads, and 2 sticky's

TheAppShare - Powered by vBulletin is the site; the OSX Downloads section is the specific area. You notice it says 64 posts, but when u click the Apps section, there are only 2. I tryed rebuilding thread and post information, etc.

LOL that was intresting open your OSX Downloads and then go to the bottom of the page and select from beginning and all of the show you have your cut off time set in the admincp.

How can I make it so it sorts by newest post date by default? For all users, not just my personal preference.

user selects there sort order in usercp> edit options > very last section =)
