I would like some names of domains that you guys have on Servstra Servers in the US data center. The reason is, when our servers are down, I want to be able to tell if Layertech servers are unreachable, or we have a server problem. Currently, they may say, "There is no problem. It's on your end." But we have offices in Michigan, Oregon, and British Colombia, and when we have problem, nobody can get there. Moreover, the ISPs for each location is different. That would help us to know whether we should be submitting a ticket, or wait until they finish fixing a router. One of our sites there is FindLocalWeather.com.
Thanks! This isn't a servstra server, but portsnap2.freebsd.org is hosted at layeredtech, and is under 1ms away from your server, so any network problems affecting you will probably also affect me. That works. Thanks! That will tell me when there is no connectivity. I would like to get a few more sites because that site has no content. Therefore, I cannot tell when the bandwidth available is very low.Thanks!edgods.comearthdoom.comDon't know about Servstra, but they server has been ordered through Layeredtech.I would like to get a few more sites because that site has no content.
Actually, it has lots of content (and 300GB/month of traffic), but the content is designed to be read by computers, not by humans. IT_Architect - FYI, the servstra.com website is located in the Savvis DC which is where your server is also located. So if you can't access both your website and our website, the issue is with the data center / network. Obviously if you can access our website but not yours, the issue is with your server. Hope that helps.
