THEAD not working

Hi, 
 
Could someone please tell me why when I print this table from my browser (IE5.5), it doesn't display the THEAD section on the second page?? I thought thead allowed this to happen.

AllanNot quite sure what you mean, have you selected the correct page size, margins, when you hit print does you printer spool 2 pages or just the 1st..? does the printer ask to spool all pages..? what sort of printer are you using..? 
 
as far as i know, if the printer is setup properly the second page will spool & start where the first left off... jaeman

well it would help if you wrote teh code correctly. 
TFOOT must appear before TBODY within a TABLE definition so that user agents can render the foot before receiving all of the (potentially numerous) rows of data 
that is part of the problem. also what is the caption tag? 
 
also it says it may happen, doesn't say it will happen.aahh...well you can blame 'Osborne - The Complete HTML Reference Third Edition' for my placing TFOOT after TBODY, Scoutt. 
 
Anyway, it seems this is a known IE5.5 bug:

allanAs usual run the page through <a class="postlink" href="http://validator.w3.org/detailed.html">http://validator.w3.org/detailed.html</a> for a hint as to what W3C see to be the correct interpretation, and therefore by definition where most browser interpretations are likely to be heading too (then code around it for known issues in popular browsers of the moment).Sorry, found the solution so thought I'd post in case anyone else has this problem. 
 
Where this is a known bug (in my case IE5.5) you must set the display property for thead and tfoot to table-header-group and table-footer-group respectively. It seems to do the trick. 
 
e.g. 
thead 
{ 
display: table-header-group; 
} 
 
tfoot 
{ 
display:table-footer-group;
