Hi,

Now, as you've probably seen before, some web sites have a 'News' section on their first page, and you can see one example at : http://www.onlinedigimon.com/site.php?goto=main

In the middle of that page, you see this 'News and Updates' section.

This is not the first web site to have this, though. I've seen several other web sites that have this 'News' feature too.

So, I was wondering if they use any kinda script or tool or control or component or tables to do this?

I would like such a neat thing on my site too, so some advice would be darn nice!

Thanks guys! :):)
Xeon.many ways to do it an dmost of them are serverside language like php or cgi or asp.

you have to either build your own or goto www.hotscripts.com and search for one. But, if you do that, don't make the same mistake that the people did at that link you gave made. If you make your window wider than 800px, the scrolling news doesn't even stay on the news background.

AaronWow! I got it!

Thank you so much, Scoutt and Aaron! :):)

Say, Aaron....is there a problem?
Cos' I don't see anything like you said? ;):)my favorite is at www.cutephp.com , check out CuteNews.

I switched back from the news systems and just write news in plain old HTML now.

hm.

EDIT: oooo new version *changes mind and switches back to CuteNews*yeah, there is a problem with it...I'll attach screenshots.

my res is 1024x768I use CuteNews. It is fully customizable and has loads of extra features. There is also FusionPHP, but CuteNews is better :)

TechnelThanks Technel and Gregory! :):)

Wow....yesterday, I saw FusionPHP's News script, and it's already so darn wonderful(with smilies!!!!)!!!! :)
And CuteNews is better? Then, I gotta check it out! Thanks a zillion, folks! :):D

And thanks for the screen shots, Aaron! :)
Pardon me for my foolishness and stupidity, but I just can't see the difference!

There's 2 images, and the 'News section' in 2 of them are the same! :confused:sorry...not the main news section, the little scrolling news thing at the top. I should have specifiedAnd so I finally see, Aaron! :):):D

Yes, that thing is getting outta hand and is totally crazy and weird, but since I'm not looking for that, it's ok.(I'm looking for the main news section, and FusionPHP and CutePHP are darn awesome bets) :)there was this program called 'flash text scroller' which did a very cool job of scrolling stuff in flash.
the old website used to be http://www.scriptocean.com/index.html . dont know the new one.
