The end of pagerank

I read that Google may be ending their pagerank system in option of another one based on individual's ratings. You guys think this would take place soon? Or would they stick with their pagerank system?right at this moment iam not beyond PR but in SERpi think it is not end of page rank system and google still calculated the inbound links for page rank.
