I would like to know when my page is loaded how my textarea scrollbar can be made to point down(focussed down) such that the bottom-down mesgs are always visible.<br />

I have never seen such feature, I don't think JavaScript or any other code can do it.<br />

It would feel weird, having the computer scroll itself. It would feel like the computer is ripping control from the users' hands. That's only speculation, but can explain why you can't do it.<br />

That is why some people put their lists in ascending order, where the newest message at the top.<br />

Or, if it's like a forum, you can use <a name="post80944"></a> and then users can can click a link to index.html#post80944<!--content-->
