text spacing

Ok so I had been using tables to build layouts for years till I recently came across this group. I've been reading up about CSS and it seems intriguing for web design and it is much much easier especially when adding sub pages that all have the same layout.

anyway heres my problem:
I am using Dreamweaver to create my CSS layers just because it makes it 100 times easier, but my problem is text spacing. Dreamweaver spaces text lines one way but Internet Explorer spaces it a few pixels wider...it is real annoying, anyone know of fix for this? I like dreamweavers text spacing better, yes lines are a little closer but its nice....I know their is a "line-height" attribute but no matter what I set it at it doesn't seem to make a difference...any ideas?

thanks in advance.cancel that...of course two minutes after I post I figured it out. Thanks anyway.:D I do that all the time.
