Targeting a table within a template

Hi,<br /><br />I am after some help on designing my website.<br /><br />I am creating a template and want to know if it is possible to target a table to open content in...this will mean that i can get flash video etc to open in specified areas of my page without the page having to reload each.<br /><br />I know that you can do it with frames but i am trying to stick to tables.<br /><br />thanks for any help<br /><br />d<!--content-->
