They never show all of your backlinks though.Yes backlinks would take a lot of time between updates.The purpose of continually adding backlinks is so that google will spider your site more often and when it comes to updating the backlinks, quantity and quality of them can then have importance.Just make sure that sites you also link to are not banned by google - otherwise it will have no affect whatsoever in helping improve your ranking and search engine returns.
