I'm making chagnes to a website designed by somebody else. I've been reading through the posts and noticed that everybody thinks CSS is the best way to go. The website in question, however, has TONS of tables. What's the best way to go about converting everything? It looks like the CSS for the website was designed in FrontPage. Also, I ran a few pages through an HTML cleaner because the code is sloppy, and noticed that the display is different than intended, anybody got any suggestions for a good one? Here's the website I'm talking about if someone can look it over and maybe make a suggestion.
Thanks,
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ezeeweb.comThere">http://www.ezeeweb.comThere</a><!-- m --> was a thread on here about converting tables based pages to CSS, it would be worth doing a search. The general layout looks pretty simple. I'd suggest learning a bit from Glish (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.glish.com/css/">http://www.glish.com/css/</a><!-- m -->). Also, HTMLTidy is the best HTML tidying utility. Thanks guys, I'll definetely look into that.Happy to help. Also check out some linkage at the CSS directory (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.roderickhoward.com/cssdirectory/">http://www.roderickhoward.com/cssdirectory/</a><!-- m -->), as they will be great resources to you.
