Hi, I'm new here :)

I'm so lost. I've been trying to fix a problem with my new blog layout for hours now and I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong!! :(

I hope someone can help, you can click here (http://www.white-lillies.com/~whitecom/sakura/) for the site. You'll see right away what's wrong.

Whoever answers, thank you so much!!There are a lot of breaks
in this part:

<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"link.html">link

Take them out.

The code is OK.
I used Arachnophilia: Analyze Html and it was OK.
;)According to http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... tline=&sp= the tags have a problem. There is a quote missing from each one: height=35" should be height="35"

You could also add type="text/javascript" to each tag, and a descriptive alt="some text" to each tag. Change each & to & in the URLs as these are causing entity errors at the moment.Originally posted by petervazed
;) Yep, peter is spot on - all those
's are the problem. However, I also suspect that if the area where they are is where you're going to put your content (especially given it's called "Thoughts") then the problem will recur.

Yes, exactly. There's gonna be a lot of text in that area, so it will stretch like it does now and then the problem just reoccurs.

That's why I put all those breaks there, to see what would happen when it's stretched. That's when I noticed the problem.Redone the page.
I used tables.
One table for the head.
Second table picture and text content.
Below the picture a new table with the menu in it.
Rename suzy_bestanden to your own directory to see the images.
I used Arachnophilia V4 and the html is now compressed.
A tutorial "Working with Arachnophilia" http://members.lycos.nl/vazedWow, thank you soooooo much!! That's so nice of you!! :DYour Welcome.
Graag gedaan ;)
