table border problem

the following code gives me a bleed through on my table border. ie. some of the black background bleeds through. why?<br />
<br />
<body bgcolor="#000000"><br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" border="5" width="100%" bordercolor="#FFFFFF"><br />
<br />
<!--row 1--><br />
<br />
<tr width ="100%"><br />
<br />
<td colspan="3" valign="middle" bgcolor="#C4BDA3"><br />
<font face="verdana"><font color="#000000"><font size="12"> Gamma Photography <br />
</font size></font color></font face><br />
</td><br />
<br />
</tr><br />
<br />
<br />
</table><br />
</body><!--content-->you cant put code into the tr tabs<br />
<br />
but put CELLSPACING="1" in the table tab<!--content-->it still looks the same. there is still some white coming throug.<br />
<br />
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellpadding="1" border="5" width="100%" bordercolor="#000000"><br />
<br />
<!--row 1--><br />
<br />
<tr><br />
<br />
<td colspan="3" valign="middle" bgcolor="#C4BDA3"><br />
<font face="verdana"><font color="#000000"><font size="12"> Gamma Photography <br />
</font size></font color></font face><br />
</td><br />
<br />
</tr><br />
<br />
<br />
</table><br />
</body><!--content--><font face="verdana"><font color="#000000" ><font size="12"> Gamma Photography <br />
</font size></font color></font face><br />
<br />
no such tags.... make all your font tags in one<br />
<br />
<font face="verdana" size="12" color="#000000"> <br />
<br />
also add bgcolor="#FFFFFF" to the table I mean come on it is not that difficult. :P<!--content-->oops typo it shouldnt be "1" it should be "0"<br />
<br />
but i didnt type cellpadding, i typed "cellspacing"<!--content-->If you follow Scoutts advice then <br />
<br />
</font size></font color></font face><br />
<br />
should be just:<br />
<br />
</font><br />
<br />
<br />
Closing tags do not have attributes. Multiple tags should usually be combined.<!--content-->
