I have spent much time reading the same kind of threads recently and I hope this will be a lot of help to beginners in the field of promotion for entertainment related sites.
I have created a short list of major engines to submit your site to. All these engines/directories are free to submit to and your site should get indexed reasonably fast!

This is just from experience, but trust me, if you manage to submit to all of those sites, I bet you will see a massive boost in traffic to your site within a few days.
