i am new - so please no giggling - i can not for the life of me make my html document do as my corresponding css sheet commands. i have my link information set up nicely between my head tags on my html document and i have all of my documents in the same folder. i can create and make work these things in my notepad that comes with my computer but not with this editor. is there something i am missing - please help - mr page tutor is taking his own sweet time getting back to me - thanks - sandi.Without any code or a link it is difficult to solve the problem.
A very good free editor is HTML Kit (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.chami.com/html-kit/Download">http://www.chami.com/html-kit/Download</a><!-- m --> /), much better than notepad.first of all thank you for responding - i feel less alone already.
ok this is my set up between the head tags on my html document:
<LINK REL="stylesheet" TYPE="text/css" HREF=http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/archive/index.php/"sammy.css">
this is the set up on my sammy.css document:
h1 {font: italic small-caps bold Serif;}
both documents are saved in my note tab light templates folder - i have tried this out a million times and still my editor will not play friendly - ps do you know what efo-html means? thanks again - sandi.The combined values in font do not always work, write it in full
h1 {
font-family: serif;
font-style: italic;
font-variant: small-caps;
font-weight: bold;
}
Is it eof-html?
Is the editor outputting ascii?hello fang - you were absolutely right about writing things out in full. apparently an editor will not do all things for me - you will note that my link that i gave you does not have a / at the end of it - it barfed up all the other innards but not the backslash. thanks for the tip on the free htmlkit - i love it - sincerely - sandi.Hey Sandi I've merged all your threads into one to make the conversation easier to follow. If you want to reply again please can you use the 'post reply' button next to the 'new thread' button that you've been using?
