So i've been doing this for too long to ask this stupid question. But as I was thinking more and more about this...it dawned on me that maybe this could be the case.
Do backlinks have to be clicked on in order for your site to be up in SERPs or high in PR?
sure, viewer doesn't click on my link, so i don't get the traffic but does the mere fact that those links being placed on a bazillion web2.0 sites hold any value if they're not clicked on?
i swear i didn't smoke anything...i'm just bewildered by this ...someone smack me and shed some light
thanks PR has nothing to do with clicks
About SERPs, if google is able to track the click(site uses analytics or user uses toolbar) then it may count or it may not, these are G secrets your right...i know pr has everything to do with what G believes are important; therefore, they rank them better...but i guess you answered my question. guess it's a secret Quote: Originally Posted by drew68 Do backlinks have to be clicked on in order for your site to be up in SERPs or high in PR?
