What are you all doing to rank well in yahoo, which on page crieteria seem to be most important, my focus has been on google so long, I need a refresher. Anyone got an idea on how Yahoo! looks at header tags?

Thanks! I've read that Yahoo likes a higher keyword density. I've never done well in Yahoo, so I can't speak to how true that is. In my experience with them they put alot of weight on the title and desc tags. Also, like "theJack" said i beleive they do like a higher keyword density. H1 & H2 tags are also very important, its seems more so than G. That being said, I think links come into play quite a bit as well... I just noticed I'm on the first page for both google and yahoo for photography forums (http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=ph...i=UTF-8&fr=FP-tab-web-t&cop=mss&tab=&toggle=1

But let me tell you, titltes and content are very, very important in Yahoo, I think technically speaking the wise guys would say, it´s keyword density.

We are #3 in Yahoo with "beach destinations"
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=beach+destinations

And ´cause we are specialized in Mexico if you add the word Mexico.

Our sites appear all over the first page, we have months in the first places, of course, thanks to all your advices.

Depending on the competitive nature of the word you will get differnt answers. Some people can rank by jsut adding keywords to their title, decription, keywords, and h1. More difficult words appear to need keyword backlinks just like GG.

I think (Not 100% positive and would never say unless I was), Yahoo is paying more attention to titles, descriptions, h1, maybe h2, and body text than they used to.
