Hi,
Just wanted to ask if any of you have been experience a decline in their blog visits. Mine went down from 500 a day to 30 a day. So sad and alarming. I don't remember having done anything new. Just posting new entries each day.
Kindly help.
Thanks. My blog traffic is still the same. Your rankings in SERPs probably went down, better check them. Mine have gone up a little and for some odd reason i almost doubled my traffic today. I'll have to check my stat's to see why this happened.
You lost a lot of traffic and that should trigger your alarm to look at your stat's really good and i hope you did not get hit with the panda update.
Have you modfied anything on your blog?
Did you mess with your robots.txt or sitemap?
Something has to be the cause of this traffic decline. normal here.. maybe your site ranking also declined.. you might done something wrong.. Quote: Originally Posted by mothproof Hi,

Thanks. May be your competitors has beaten your keyword in Search Engines. Check your search engine rankings for your keywords and improve. And also submit your RSS feed URL in RSS feed submission directories, you can drive more traffic from those sites. I think your keyword ranking has droped down in SERP's, continually use fresh content and create quality links as social book marking, article submission, blog, forum etc. It is by chance. is your visit only 30 from fall, continue? How many days you counted that it is under hundread? Almost 300 visitors come on my blog each day, but some days the number does not cross 50. And same some day i get 500 visits and think that the ratio of per day visit is equal It means you will have to check all the important metrics. Which traffic source showed the most loss? If it is the search engines, then how many pages show up as indexed in the search engines. Are are rankings in the earlier range? Is your analytics tracking still present on all the pages or was accidently removed? All this analysis should help you identify the cause and start making the required changes. Hi guys, thanks for your replies.
The only thing I did new with my site is tinker with the theme via blogger's template dashboard. just changed the colors, etc. nothing heavy.
And also exchanged links with a niche-related site, which I hope is a reputable site.
Haven't been really doing any SEOing lately for my site, only during the beginning when the blog was still new. I keep thinking so long as I add good content then the SERP rankings will follow. And for a while the stats did go up exponentially. And then it dipped low.
Ill research about the Panda Update.
Thanks again.

Regarding the Panda Update (a.k.a. content farms), as long as the content of your site/blog is yours, unique, and quality you wouldn't have problems with that. Google is trying to eliminate blogs and sites that copies/rewrites other people's content, especially low quality content just SEOed to increase its rankings in SEPRs.
Exchanging links with links with a niche-related sites doesn't harm you unless these sites have bad reputations. If you suspect your link exchange partners are dragging you down, better check your link at their site immediately.
