step 2 & 5 vb install

I don't understand how to do step 2 & 5.. Lack of knowledge on my part but willing to learn. I'm missing something ease most likely.

What are setps 2 and 5? There is only one or two steps that require you do something, the rest you just have to click next.

step 2 .Chmod all files and folders to 777

step 5 chmod back to

You need to set permissions to the files and folders, the quickest way is to use FTP software such as filezilla or SmartFTP, if and once you have that running right click on you forums folder and scroll down to "properties" this will open a small window that gives you the abilty to set the perms' enter 777 in the provided box and tick the "do this for all files and folders option" box...

Now you need to run the keygen,

Once that is done for step 5 you do the same as above but set the perms back to original
