Hi all, with 2012 approaching I was just wondering what others think about doing SEO this 2012?
Will it be harder or easier considering that ICANN will be approving more gTLDs in the near future? This means that we will be seeing new domain extensions i.e. .paris, .nyc, .cars, .sports, etc. Quote: Originally Posted by teamversion Hi all, with 2012 approaching I was just wondering what others think about doing SEO this 2012?

If you have a good content on your website with proper on page activity on your website than it will help to boost your rankings on the search engine. Well IMO, I think if there will be an impact due to these domain extensions, we won't feel the impact in a sudden. I still believe that content still carries a little more weight than domain or other factors in terms of ranking. But I doubt that these changes will hurt the rankings in an instant. Just my opinion. its going to be a bit harder than before, since google make alot of changes lately.. I think it will be more challenging this upcoming year! The job of SEO has become Web Strategist job. Your content, user experience of a site, usefulness of your site will rule SEO in 2012 and above. Social and Mobile is also a key factor in 2012. It is going to be more difficult for us because more and more people are beginning to create sites to win some money because they got fired from their daily jobs. hi,
i personally think that in the year 2012 there will be more challenges to face in the world of seo because we will be encountering a new update from Google (algo change) which we face every year
second of all on-page seo will be a very important factor along with the content that you deliver from your website to your audience.
in short you need satisfy your visitors and try to hook them in your website as look as possible.
kindest,
alex Apparently more domains will be entering the internet world, adding to the competition and naturally some going out of business. Updates and algorithm changes too will become hot pieces of daily news for the global sites admins, especially the folks who look for ways of making money on the internet and the admins whose businesses totally depend on their online status. The matter of introduction of new domain names can be very excising though, especially for people buying and selling sites.
It seems that still a few TLDs are being considered very powerful in terms of launching new financial projects online such as the .com solution but arrival of newer addresses will make everything more exciting. The year ahead can be the time when webmasters look for better ways to build contents for their sites, rather than searching for links because since the recent Google updates, lots of strange things have happened to the ranks of tons of sites, even the ones moderated by gurus. The upcoming year will be more adventurous in case of SEO.The Google is regularly updating it's algorithm but the fact is that "Content is king" so,even in hard blockage you can go forward if the contents are well organized. Let's see what new changes google introduce in 2012 in there algorithm. Google is trying to focusing social sites for rank. I think that the addition will make it a little harder to keep the rankings that you have now. The only thing that you are doing is adding more and more web pages. The more web pages the more competition. In the long run it will still come down to content and the way that you set up your site to ensure that you are achieving the rankings that you desire. google is dying a slow death, yes - index search has reduced a lot over time... google is showing more and more ads on its page (dont believe me? search for hd monitor or laptop on google and see what you see on top), PPC is going to be better than SEO social media sites are increasingly becoming search sources... SEOs are dying a slow death too... Not easy to say because this can be a cause for more algorithm that may heart to search engine ranking. I understand that domain matter for ranking and if it’s going more categories in URL then many of special fields can demoralize by looking a different competitor. I think it would be a little difficult task to implement and in my opinion I really don’t think that 2012 will be more advanced than this. Yet I think mobile website going to be big headache for SEO Quote: Originally Posted by sagarman The job of SEO has become Web Strategist job. The kids playing SEO should go home Never worry about gTLDS, As per the Google webmaster guidelines Content is the king. Google SERP algorithm gives first preferences for content. So if you have good content mean you no need to worry about. Yes that's true. If you have relevant and naturally written content on your website then your site will get high ranking. Sure hope google doesn't make some bad changes....
