Use your contents for linking in Squidoo, not the unique content for ranking of your site. Squidoo is similar to a content farm in a way, so may be downgraded in authority soon, however at the moment domain and page authorities are still very high so it's a great place to write relevant articles for that link back to your site. However bad content won't be very popular Squido lenses are used by me to create baclinks and a 'link network' for interlinking purposes. It helps to gain traffic to your site, if your content is interesting Squidoo is web 2.0 property. You can say it mini website or blog site with sub domain name of your choice. You can publish articles or promote your business through squidoo lens. Now a days people are using squidoo for backlinking. What they do, publish an article in squidoo and put link back to their website. Squidoo can give you huge benefit if you will use it properly. I find squidoo to be helpful is in not only creating back links but also finding like minded people. Usually if you find someone who wrote about a similar topic, there's a good chance they have their own sites on that topic too. From there you can see if you can do link exchanges and/or have any synergies. Squidoo is a web2.0 website. You can submit your unique articles here for backlink and more importantly for targeted traffic. Article on Squidoo is called a lens. Being an authority website Squidoo can give you a large traffic via lenses. I know the squidoo lense, but I prefer to another site called hubpage which is the similar to squidoo but, i think, more useful than squidoo. Hubpage is a bit more work to get a link from than squidoo.
But both are good. Why choose one? Just use both.
But don't post duplicate content on any of them. Its all about backlink link in a circle mode. Hey I started using Squidoo few days ago. But I want to ask one thing. Is that possible in Squidoo to post next time on the same lens like we do in blogs?? the good thing about squidoo lense is, the people or members are real. The site explains that the creator believes that everyone is a pro at something. So you create a lens, kind of like a blog post, all about your topic of choice and then it's available to anyone who wants to know more about that topic. You can create as many as you like. It's a great way for companies to put out information about a business or service that could be helpful to customers, or for a person to share and contribute what they know about a topic.
