SQLSERVER 2000 - Linux connect

Hi!

I thought it was dead-simple.

Server1:
MSWIN2000 + SQLSERVER2000 + System-DNS

Server2:
Linux(suse7.2)+apache+php4

Server2 should connect and read stuff from Server1 SQLSERVER 2000.

I read so many articles with soooo many differents hints and tricks -
any simple manual would do it ....
