i have uploaded all the .cgis and all the images but the installer can't find the paths even though it finds the http://'s. can some1 help me please!!!i think it is because i haven't changed the chmod's. how do i do that? You can chmod with an FTP program. With WS FTP you left-click once on a remote file to high-light it. Then right-click once on the high-lighted file. Click on CHMOD in the little box that will open up. From there you set the permissions.

- Right-Click on a file
- Set Attributes
- Checkmark the CMOD or type in a number (follow what number ikonboard gives)
- and it should work then. You can chmod from telnet(remote access) or as said, FTP. Here's an interesting link: http://www.jtlnet.com/support/chmoding_ ... htmlcheers. and if u r a liverpool supporter i hope they win today!!looks like they did....
anyway, ive discovered my server doesn't support cgis or something and im now trying it at f2s.com - ive seen a ikonboard working there before.
ive uploaded all folders and files and chmoded them but i get a 500 internal server error when i try to open the install.cgi file. any ideas?Usually (when dealing with cgi), a 500 Error means you CHMODED something wrong, recheck them.
Then, read the instructions and make sure you are trying to access the right URL, follow the instrucions exactly and you should be alright.Try using a relative path such ../images
cheers mike
