SKin?

I would like to know how would i create Vb skin's. I dont want to rip them just make my own? any tutorial or good explantions thanks.

have knowledge of CSS,PHP,xhtml, and be real good at photoshop,fireworks. I would suggest you look at a style you like then go into the folder and look at the diffrent parts it takes most are in the misc folder...some actually have a folder for the skin.....but I think that would be the easiest way to get aquainted with skinning.

Can i open the main file. You Install the skin with open with Dream Weaver? Such as XMl or do i leave that alone?

you can open the xml and see how the code is laid out. I would also open the misc folder and open one of the jpg,gif,png and see its information as well. It is not an easy task as most think there is things that are hard to explain.....I would rename the default skin to Murdoc1..then from there I would make some gfx and put them in the misc folder then I would go into the stylevar and direct the links to where your gfx are then I would go inot the maincss and in the very bottom this is where to add your custom code.

Okay thanks Filez. I really appreciate the help, i will look in the default style and work with that. Since it's the basic theme and probably the easiest to work with.
