Site using ASP.net

Hi,
I just want to know if there is an effect in seo by using the asp.net site? Quote: Originally Posted by woogley Hi,

There are way more SEO tools and techniques for unix than for AsP. Most tools needed for SEO are pretty much standard for unix hosting, such as .htaccess file, permanent 301, etc. Some ASP servers don't support these and if your host doesn't have these features, it can cause problems.

As far as ranking goes, it doesn't matter if your pages end with .aspx, html, or php. You can design your site in asp.net as it will not do any type of effect in SEO. Generally it relates with good content & quality backlinks. In ASP you could use meta tag, like title, meta description, moreover, the most important is the content, then backlink, so... no problem

SEO is based on pure HTML tags so it doesn't depend upon the technology (ASP.NET, Unix etc) as far as you will be able to generate HTML from it. HTML pages are more effective in SEO term but we can also promote other pages like Asp.net by giving proper naming and meta tag placement to the pages of the website. I too think the same, Asp.net site counts equal like all the other websites. so don't worry about that. But the thing is it will cost higher prices for hosting. yes higher price for costing and not only that our asp server do not support an seo tools and not not url friendly.
