I need your opinion or should I say your own experience. I'm researching about a website that do have a lot of pages or have a big site size. Ranking is not good and also some of the pages are not profitable or doesn't have any visits at all. Talking about the SEO part, it's not well optimized. Also the website design is not that appealing.
We wanted to suggest to redesign the website, pull off the non-profitable pages and to properly optimized it but the client don't want to change anything because of the keyword dropping. The site have 10k visits per month. Because of the changes of the algorithm, I just want to ask your experience about this scenario or do you have any experience regarding to this matter?
Just want to add some question, do you believe in Google Sandbox, as an experience on the new era of algorithm?
For the mentor, moderators and admin, if I have a violation regarding on these questions, just remove this post. This will be my evidence for the client if it's worth to pursue the strategy or not. For me, Google Sandbox is just a ghost... Quote: Originally Posted by grishamist I need your opinion or should I say your own experience. I do believe in google sandbox and dance. It happens with new sites but i believe your case it bit different. you are having a old website and going for revamp right?
Well, As far as redesign and revamp is consider I suggest you to consider these elements
1- Page clean coded page( as much as possible )
2- Navigation should search engine friendly
3- maintain reasonable amount of keyword density
4- Provide a way to client to upload new content on regular basis (adding blog would be the best option)
5- Add reasonable amount to keyword target text on each concerned pages
6- Design should be captivate so that page can motivate visitor to stay longer (to reduce bounce rate)
