It is said that a site map is needed when optimizes a site. I think so but not sure.Sitemap has nothing to do with PR.PR is all about the amount & quality of pages linking to a given URL. Sitemaps have 0 PR, so they pass on 0 PR.I have the idea that a site with site map should be friendly to spiders. So a site map will affect the feeling of Google.Right?I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about the Google Sitemaps program.A regular HTML sitemap, sure it may help pass a LITTLE TINY amount of PR to other pages (that is, people are linking to your sitemap URL).A sitemap (whether HTML based, or the Google Sitemaps XML file) is only intended to let Google know that pages on your site exist (at least as far as Google's concerned - a HTML sitemap will also help your human visitors too), not to help their PR.Sitemap should be used by websites with deep navigation in order to simplify spiders' access to deeper pages. It does not help for PR building but it help in navigationWhat are you folks using to create your site maps?Do you recommend any particular software for this?Or, are you creating it by hand?BompaI'm creating my own scripts to generate the sitemaps real-time from the information in the database.
