Can anyone shed any light on this?Take a look at these results:http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... tnG=SearchNow, there are a few sites listed in those results that shows a title that isn't what is used on the site when you go to it. For example, charge.com. Go to the site and see what title they are using? If you look at the cached version Google has, it is the same, but the title it is showing in the results isn't though. There are others as well. This has been showing like this for a while now, but what is going on here?ThanksCurtisI'm getting the same thing on one of my sites. I change the title a few weeks ago from MyTown MyState Real Estate to just MyState Real Estate...I also removed some of the MyTown words from the page to give the MyState words more density. Now when I run a search for MYTown Real Estate google uses my directory title and not the actual title on the page....if I search for MyState Real Estate I get the real title.I would find those sites you mentioned in the google directory and see what google is using for a title.Look like that's what's happening. Here's their google directory entry and the title matches the resultshttp://directory.google.com/Top/Busines ... _Agents/C/I thought that was the case, but there are some other sites in those results that do not show that.....The more I look around the more of this I'm seeing. I wonder why this is...Is google trying to do away with the title tag?I had this before. something wrong with the titles in search results.my design site had my otehr site (travel) title.it disappeared /re-synchronised after a week or 2..
