My site is live but with the /drupal/ tag on the end while we make changes. My developer tells me it doesn't hurt but I was looking for other opinions.

When we're ready, the drupal will come off and it will be the real url, without the /drupal/ on the end.

Since it's being crawled now with the drupal tag on the end, is that harming anything for when we do go live? If you still have that tag on when site is live, the search engine bots will index that URL and the other URLs with /drupal/ format.

mysite/drupal/easter-party.html

Why not block the search engines from indexing your site till you are ready to make it live with the correct URL format? You have a lot of pages already on your site? If it's just a few pages then it does not really matter anyways.
