I have questions which involve website design and SEO.
First, how is PR and SERPS generally affected in the case of links directory where:
(a) the directory is the home page, i.e. <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.sitenameexample.com">www.sitenameexample.com</a><!-- w -->
or
(b) the directory is a sub page, i.e. wwwsitename.com/directory
In other words which is a better design from an SEO standpoint and how detrimental is the second option?
Also. Let's say a site has a twin usage. An example would be a site where at the home page you have a choice, such as:
<-----user type a go here ~~~~~~~ user type b go here ---->
then the traffic would split to the choices.
This would of course make it hard to have relevant keywords, content, etc on the home page. How would this tend to affect the SEO charactoristics of the site.
Any thoughts or discussions on either of these scenerios????
