Singular or Plural Keywords? MAJOR difference!

I recently done some keyword research for my brand new travel website. I was shocked with the results Google Keywords Tool came up with!

(City name) + Hotel (singular) get 400K seaches a month, while it got over 3 million results.

(City name) + Hotels (Plural) get 550K seaches a month, and it got ONLY 300K results!!!

What does that mean? Can I stick to the plural keyword and compete with the 300K results (my domain name is already cityname-hotels.info)? Or Google really still ignores plurality and singularity of keywords as they announced once before? As you can see, the difference is HUGE between the two of them in my case! Using research try to find KEI and then choose your keyword!
you can go with more beneficial keyword!
And yes there is a difference between singular and plural! The best keyword is with Less Competitors and High Search Volume.

As you stated above it seems that plural (i.e. hotels) would be good for you, because the competition is less and search volume is high than singular (i.e. hotel). And your domain name also
