I am in the process of creating a forum for medical and financial assistance for the needy and similar items, ie. housing, prescriptions, medical equipment and such items.
Given the state of the world economy, I think this is something that would benefit many people. In my case, I am 43, unemployed with no unemployment benefits, my daughter is 24 so I do not qualify for any welfare except food stamps and then I don't qualify for those since I moved back in with my parents and have to claim their retirement income as my own, since I live in their household. Add in my heart issues and I am now $50,000 in debt and pawning what little I own, just to pay for my prescriptions.
So when I am not job hunting and trust me, there isn't jack shit out there not even in the fast foods industry, I hunt the net looking for anything that can help me with my prescriptions and whatnot.
The thought of just visiting one single site to find what assistance out there in one spot, just sounds promising to me and I think it would be useful for others that find themselves in similar situations.
